Course Description:

This exciting 3 day course covers the full spectrum of the fighting carbine - from "house clearing" and entry techniques to midrange field applications.  Marksmanship, Manipulation and Tactics receive equal attention to detail.

Carbine I covers the tactical doctrine of the carbine, basic marksmanship theory, weapon manipulation, tactical and speed reloads, shooting positions, fighting from contact to 100 meters, malfunction reductions,  and shooting on the move. The course will also include a block on transitions to the backup weapon (pistol).

Equipment:
  • Serviceable carbine with a sling.
  • Minimum of 1 magazine pouch, or method to carry spare magazine(s).
  • A minimum of three serviceable magazines for the carbine (5 is better).
  • 500-600 rounds of rifle ammunition that runs reliably in your gun. 
  • A serviceable pistol, with three serviceable magazines.
  • A holster and magazine pouch.
  • 50 rounds of handgun ammunition that runs reliably in your pistol.
  • Eye and ear protection, as well as a baseball type hat.
  • Knee and elbow pads are optional.
